Restaurant
The restaurant also has its own entrance. This has always been the intention, since the wealthy middle and noble class people wanted to dine more tastefully: nicely set tables, the service dressed in black and white and always helpful to guests. Just as it is still common today in the Augustiner original building.
The front part of the restaurant is dedicated to the legendary Bavarian Prince Regent Luitpold, who ruled Bavaria from 1886 to 1912. He was fond of nature and hunting, which is can be seen in this room.
The rear restaurant area is dedicated to his father, the King Ludwig I. A large magnificent portrait shows the former regent. It says: "I want Munich to make a city, which will praise Germany so high that no one can say he knows Germany unless he has seen Munich." Another dominant element of the room is the massive dark wooden ceiling.
