Food & Drink

In the Augustiner original building we serve high-quality Bavarian food. In order to meet this requirement, we do not only work with our own butcher, but also with the Gut Granerhof, sustainable farming that has received several awards.

In the idyllic Alpine foothills, in Pfaffenwinkel, our famous Hereford cattle graze in open air all year round. We also have a large outdoor enclosure for our red and fallow deer. In this way, we can always guarantee our guests first-class products and at the same time ensure that they enjoy our food.

The historical “Munich cuisine” stands for plenty veal on the one hand, and for specialties such as Schlachtschüssel (meat and sausages from freshly slaughtered pig), boiled belly pork or lights of veal cooked with vinegar and spices, on the other hand. You can find both on the menu of the Augustiner original building. It goes without saying that only homemade white sausages, meat loaf, veal sausages, Viennese sausages, blood and liver sausages are served.

Of course, our chef offers you a variety of vegetarian dishes. Freshly prepared and seasonally coordinated - fresh chanterelles in herb cream with pretzel dumplings, crispy salads with homemade yoghurt dressing, kaspressknödel with vegetables of the day- all from regional farmers, who are also committed to sustainable agriculture.

In keeping with tradition, you can always get freshly tapped Augustiner beer from us in the Augustiner original building.

We wish you a good appetite! And cheers!
